The 2025 Sauvignon Blanc harvest at Contreberg has been nothing short of exceptional! With more fruit on the vines than anticipated, early mornings were key to making the most of the season. Of course, Oom Paul was on duty as always, ensuring the team stayed on track with his usual mix of discipline and good humour.
Each year, we’re privileged to welcome back many familiar faces—local men and women from nearby areas, aged between 25 and 65, who return season after season. Their hands, experience, and dedication make all the difference, turning the harvest into more than just hard work—it’s a tradition, a shared effort that brings our community together.
Now, with the grapes safely in the cellar, we look forward to what this abundant harvest will bring in the glass. Here’s to a vintage worth waiting for!
